An unofficial expansion for Euphrates & Tigris by Wolfgang und Brigitte Ditt
- especially for 2 players -
The rules of Euphrates & Tigris are still in place. The following rules are additional rules only used with the Artist Expansion.
Additional Preparation:
Positioning an architect and placing an artist are done according to the original rules of Euphrates & Tigris, i. e. neither the architects nor the artists may be placed on river spaces. Also, the distribution of victory point counters is done according to the original rules.
Artists only have an advantage in building monuments: if a civilization tile is placed and builds a square with only artists and one other color, the monument of these two colors may be build. The number of tiles of each involved color onto that square is irrelevant.
1st
example: the temple is placed resulting into a square of two temples and
two artists. The player may turn the four tiles to built the red and yellow
monument.
2nd
example: the artist is placed so the player may build the blue and yellow
monument onto the upper right square or s/he may build the red and yellow
monument onto the lower right square. There is no way to build a monument
onto the lower left square because red and green are in that square.
If a square consists of four artists the player is allowed to build any monument containing yellow onto that square.
Building monuments onto squares of more than one color is not allowed for
other combinations of
colors.
For the determination of the victory there are now 5 spheres.
